The Pen Women do not meet in the summer but from time to time we do participate in other activities. Here is a report from Kelly Compton regarding one of our summer outings.
Saturday, August 18th, three Denver Pen Women, Diane Chambers, Sue Luxa, and Kelly Ann Compton represented our branch of the NLAPW with a booth at the Woodland Park Fine Arts Festival and Craft Fair, selling our books and other handmade items. Others contributing items to our booth were Jane Binns, Carol Denker and Sandy Chapman. To the sounds of a motorcycle rally and the aromas of the tasty chili cook-off, customers took advantage of the perfect weather to stop, chat, and browse. While we talked about our books, we passed out bookmarks advertizing our branch and let people know about the National League of American Pen Women. It was a great day!
