    Come to our Spring book signing event

    The Denver Branch of the NLAPW’s Spring Party is celebrating local women authors and artists with author readings, book signings, and sales of books, art, and crafts.

    Come join us April 30, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 pm. 2030 E. 11th Avenue, in the Manchester Party Room

    The community is invited. Non-NLAPW authors and artists are welcome to participate.

    Any current members who would like to read from your work, or sell books or art that you created is welcome to sign up. Friends, families, neighbors, and acquaintances are invited to attend.  Depending on the number of sign ups, other writers from the community will also be invited to read/participate.

    If you would like to volunteer to help set up, greet guests, or even play the piano, please let us know. We would love to have you there!

    Refreshments provided.

    “Doctor Ricardo J. Bogaert-Álvarez is a Dominican-American chemical engineer and poet. he obtained his B.S. at the PCUMM in Santiago and then obtained his chemical engineering masters and PhD at the University of Delaware. He has lived in the United States since 1981 and resides in Denver with his beloved wife Laura. He has published poems in the “El Sol” newspaper, “The New Press,” the Horizons” anthology and the “American Institute of Chemical Engineers” supplement among other publications. He has published four poetry books: 1) “The Mask Behind My Face” (which is available in Amazon Kindle), 2) “The Dance of the Phoenix,” 3) “The Samurai Poet” and 4) “Romance and Haiku Elixir.” In the latter three books, each poem is in Spanish and English.”
